The agreement that governs how you use the platform — service scope, acceptable use, fees, AI output disclaimers, and termination.

Draft — pending legal review
Indian Contract Act
Consumer Protection Act 2019

These Terms of Service govern your use of XFACTOR UPSC. By signing in, you agree to the clauses below — read them once before starting your trial.

1. Service

XFACTOR UPSC provides AI-assisted answer evaluation, flashcard generation, current-affairs reading, and previous-year-question tooling for UPSC and State PCS aspirants. Outputs are guidance, not guarantees of marks or selection.

2. Account & eligibility

You must be 18+ or have verifiable parental consent. One human per account.

3. Acceptable use

  • No reverse-engineering, scraping, or model extraction.
  • No content that infringes copyright or violates IT Act / IT Rules.
  • No prompt-injection or evasion attempts.

4. Fees & refunds

Pricing is in INR (processed via Cashfree) or USD/EUR/GBP (processed via Stripe). Refund policy is documented at /legal/refund. Indian customers see GST added per CBIC notifications; international customers see local taxes per their region.

5. AI outputs

AI evaluations are produced by Anthropic Claude models on AWS Bedrock. They may contain errors. We provide the structured rubric and feedback as guidance; teaching judgment remains with you and your mentors.

6. Termination

We can suspend accounts for misuse (§3). You can close your account from /account/privacy; data is retained per the privacy notice.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at fees paid in the prior 12 months.

8. Governing law

India. Disputes go through the grievance officer first.
